Before we begin, my supplements are prescribed and recommended based on my needs by my functional medicine doctor. Seek approval first from your physician before starting any new supplements or vitamins.
Let’s begin…
THIS one is a doozy, people!
I currently take supplements and medicines to assist with my dietary restrictions and stomach problems. I am allergic to wheat and dairy and can’t process poultry, red meat or large amounts of fish. Occasionally when I eat fruits or vegetables, or too much sugar and sweets, or at times fried foods, my Irritable Bowel Syndrome is triggered. After the results of my tests and the shorts list of foods I’m allowed to eat, I will be tripling my current regimen.

Before I give you my Journey to Healing Medicines/Supplements/Vitamins plan; let me tell you what I’m taking now.
Current Supplements
Turmeric Supplement by Truvani – for inflammation
Matcha Powder by Carrington Farms – for antioxidants and to fight free radicals.
Probiotics by Truvani – for gut health
Enzymes (prescribed Pertzye) – for digestion
Multivitamin Supplement by Ritual – to fill in where I lack in food
Vitamin C by Truvani – to strengthen my immune system
SuperGreen Powder by YourSuper – a prebiotic and to add more greens to my diet
Immune Support Supplement by Truvani – to strengthen my immune system
Multi-Collagen Protein by Ancient Nutrition – for gut health, joint pain, and protein
Elderberry Syrup by Nutra Champs – to strengthen my immune system
Not too bad, right?
Of all the above supplements, only three made the cut to my new regimen.

Let’s recap what my tests revealed I have:
- High oxidation
- Leaky gut
- Severe inflammation throughout my body
- Food sensitivities to everything I currently eat
- Black mold in my bloodstream
To assist with reducing inflammation, aid in detoxification, and to strengthen my immune system, I will be taking 11 doctor-recommended special order supplements along with the below supplements and vitamins.

Journey to Healing Prescribed Supplements
(I can’t give you the names as these are specific to my needs based on my doctor’s evaluation)
- Two are to heal the lining of my gut.
- Four are probiotics
- 1 is a prebiotic to help restore my gut flora.
- Five are for detox. They are filled with powerful antioxidants to help remove toxins from my body.
If you were patient enough to read all of this, you are probably feeling what I felt a few weeks ago.
Not only do I have to adjust to a crazy limited food diet; if you lost count, I will be taking 23 vitamins, medicines, and supplements, daily. Oh… the Joy!
Please send me a virtual hug and cry with me…
The Journey to Healing Plan
Phase 1 – Reduce/Remove Inflammation
For two to six months continue with my Journey to Healing diet, medicines, supplements, and vitamins and see how my body reacts. My doctor will review and adjust as needed at my monthly appointments.
Phase 2 – Detoxification/Cell Wall Health Protocol
After three to six months we will review and adjust diet, medicines, supplements, and vitamins to work on assisting my body with detoxification and implement the cell wall health protocol. Don’t know yet what this is. Will keep you posted.
I’m praying Phase 1 only takes three months to reduce the inflammation in my body so that I can begin Phase 2 sooner.
Do you take a lot of meds or supplements? How do you remember to take them all? Let me know in the comments below.
